There is an open ending that leads quite obviously to the main events and plot of book two, but I was underwhelmed by both the final conflict and the denouement shown here. So, having to muddle through this description, you think the book would take an exciting turn eventually. They’re both swoony, though, so there is that. There is a lot of technology here leading to a new and different world. Thank you for your feedback.
